More Light! Premiers on the Documentary Channel

The winner of the More Light! student video contest, aptly named More Light! is set to premier on the Documentary Channel Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:45 p.m. (EDT.)  The video, which highlights the individualized education students enjoy at Lawrence, was the brainchild of Alex Bunke ’09, Nikko Benson ’10, James Antony ’09 and Aneesh Chauhan ’09.  The team won a $3,000 cash prize after alumni and the campus community voted for the winning video from among three finalists. The winner was announced October 17 as the public phase of the campaign was launched.

The Documentary Channel was founded by Oscar^®-nominated and Emmy^®-winning documentary filmmaker Tom Neff '75 in January 2006.  DOC now reaches over 21 million homes nationwide via DISH Network (Channel 197) and several broadcast stations in major television markets, including NYC TV (Channel 25) throughout the greater New York metropolitan area.
